THE NARROWBOAT READING WEDDING - CORRINE & MATT
While we think it’s a shame The Narrowboat isn’t taking on weddings anymore, this wedding was still stunning!
Corrine and Matt got married at The Narrowboat, which is a restaurant in Reading with a lovely riverboat you can rent privately. It was the most beautiful wedding and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!
The First Look
Something we really love (and did ourselves) was a first look. Matt and Corrine had a lovely first look outside the Narrowboat before joining the rest of their guests for the wedding ceremony. There’s always something so magical about the first look, and it can break the ice and calm the nerves before the ceremony.
The ceremony
The ceremony was an intimate affair on the narrowboat. During the ceremony had really touching vows. It was really beautiful.
They decorated the area with beautiful flowers, which I loved. The reception was in the bar, and on the boat at The Narrowboat – I love this venue because you can totally personalise it. Weddings at The Narrowboat are amazing, because the surroundings are just wonderful.
The Narrowboat is really peaceful and secluded, and is one of the nicest places to get married in Reading. The venue offers onsite parking so guests don’t have to walk – and there really incredible views of the river which are perfect for photos.
The reception
The couple had a cocktail drinks reception in the afternoon, and a photobooth in the evening. For dinner they had a buffet, and the first dance was a romantic slow dance. They finished off the evening with a ‘last dance’.
The couple
Corrine wore a classic white dress and Matt wore a stunning trouser suit and they looked really gorgeous. Corrine had some lovely family touches with her jewellery that really made everything quite personal.
The couple got in touch with me years ago, and their enquiry was really touching. They said they wanted a relaxed photographer, and I loved that they seemed so much fun. They had a long distance relationship for some time while Corrine lived in America, and it was so heartwarming that they could finally be together.
