THE LONDON SHENLEY CLUB WEDDING – JOANNA AND TIM

THIS BESPOKE CLUB WEDDING WAS FULL OF PERSONAL TOUCHES FOR JOANNA AND TIM.

Joanna and Tim got married in the autumn at the gorgeous London Shenley Club, which is an understated country house in Radlett. It was such a fun wedding and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!

BRIDAL PREP

Joanna got ready at Torrington Hall with her best friend, and eventually all her sisters too, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. She had her nieces come by to get ready, and they were just adorable. She then rode the short trip to get to the ceremony. Tim got ready separately with his best men. He travelled to the ceremony by cab. Tim was there to greet all his guests as they arrived, and had a little pocket flask ready for whenever the nerves got too overwhelming.

THE CEREMONY

The ceremony was an intimate affair at the main hall. They had lovingly decorated the whole room and it really all looked stunning. During the ceremony they had a friend play a few songs on the piano. It was such a personal service and just inspired.

THE RECEPTION

The reception was in the bar at the venue. They chose London Shenley Club because it has so many options and they could totally personalise it. It was a gorgeous wedding, which really showed how much love and care went into every detail. I love shooting these types of weddings because the decor is completely stunning. 

They had a cocktail drinks reception in the afternoon, and an intimate family dinner in the evening. The most unique part of the day was that they had gotten legally married a few days before, so this was more of a blessing ceremony to celebrate with their friends. They decorated the venue with flowers and they chose this, because they wanted to keep it simple.

For dinner they had proper wedding grub, which was absolutely delicious. The skipped the whole first dance and went straight from cutting their gorgeous cake to partying on the dance floor with their friends and family. To each their own we say!

The best part of the day was the speeches, because it made everyone laugh. Tim's speech was really touching, and it was so sweet to listen to.
